Jewelry Care
FAQs
Thank you for taking the time to look at how to care for these pieces. Hopefully what's listed here is what you already do for the other wonderful jewelry you wear.If you'd like to keep it as simple as possible, refrain from doing the following: Polishing the piece when there is no visible tarnish. Polishing with an abrasive cloth like a sunshine cloth for any visible tarnish. Whenever you'd like to clean the piece use a soft toothbrush (most people just keep an old one for this). Give it a brisk brushing with dish soap, and you're good for light tarnish. If you've left the item alone a few months in a slightly humid area you may have slightly more visible tarnish, no problem. Hit it with the toothbrush then give it a nice solid wiping with a soft cloth just like polishing fine silver. Argentium acts much like fine silver so it polishes with normal wear, this is why wiping with a bit of force can brighten it back up regardless of the amount of time it's left alone. Only use your sunshine cloth that came with the piece very sparingly to preserve the engraving, or for your other pieces ;)
